As its name suggests, the Vietnamese mossy frog is native to the country of Vietnam. Found specifically in the northern region, this semi-aquatic amphibian spends most of its time in flooded caves and on the banks of rocky streams.
I AM AN INSECTIVORE
The Vietnamese mossy frogs consumes a variety of large insects such as crickets and cockroaches.
MASTERS OF CAMOUFLAGE
With it’s textured, green skin resembling moss, the Vietnamese mossy frog is a master of camouflage. Even their eyes have complex patterns, adding to the mossy illusion.
