The Fort Wayne Zoo is hiring for the 2025 season!

The Zoo opens for the season in March and we are searching for friendly and outgoing individuals to join our team! Opportunities are available with the Zoo as well as with our onsite retail and concessions partner Service Systems Associates.

FORT WAYNE ZOO: SEASONAL STAFF POSITIONS 

Seasonal staff positions are currently full. However, please check back on or after May 1, as we prepare for our next Job Fair on May 17, 2025

Job Requirements

  • Seasonal or part-time positions, March through December
  • 15 to 40 hours per week
  • Must be at least 16 years of age

Education Interpreter: Education Interpreters enhances the guest experience at some of the Zoo’s most popular habitats by providing exciting information about the animals, insight into their care, and relevant conservation messaging. High school diploma or GED and experience in hospitality, cultural attraction, or educational setting are preferred. Click here for a full job description.

Education Programs Counselor:  Education Programs Counselors enthusiastically deliver hands-on educational programming through the discovery of animals, nature, conservation, and more during the Zoo’s most popular Kids for Nature Summer Camp or Teens for Nature Leadership programs. High school diploma or GED is required. One year of teaching or program planning experience is preferred. 40-hour per week availability is required, weekdays, June through July. Guest Services Associate: The Guest Services Associate welcomes and assists guests by performing admission, membership, and other point of sale transactions at the Zoo entrance and Guest Service Kiosks. This position also strives to embody the Zoo’s values at all times, contributes to positive guest experiences, and performs other duties as required. Click here for a full job description.

Operations Associate:  The Operations Associate provides guests safe and memorable experiences by operating and assisting at Zoo rides and attractions, as well as ensuring a safe and clean environment by performing housekeeping and cleaning duties throughout the Zoo. This position also strives to embody the Zoo’s values at all times, contributes to positive guest experiences, and performs other duties as required. SERVICE SYSTEMS ASSOCIATES: SEASONAL STAFF POSITIONS

Food Service Associate: Food Service Associates help concession stands, carts, and picnics deliver quality food and beverages for Zoo guests during their visit. Apply here. 

Gift Shop Sales Associate: Gift Shop Sales Associates welcome and assist guests during their visits to the Wild Things Gift Shop, stroller rental, and retail locations inside the Zoo. Apply here.
